An experiment was carried out with the purpose to evaluate the effectiveness of suction-traps fitted with fluorescent lamps and/or baited with sex pheromone to detect ar monitor E. cauteUa populations in cacao warehouses. The results showed that the pheromone significantly increased the number of moths caught in lhe traps. It was also shown that suction-traps baited with pheromone are more efficient than suction-traps fitted with FlST8/BL(UV) or FlST8/G (green)fluorescent Iampspt_BR
