| Abstract: | Somatic embryogenesis occurred spontaneously in embryogenic-competent callus of cacao (Theobromo cacao L.) in a basal medium without growth regulators but varied in response to clone, sugar, and sugar concentration. Asexual embryogenesis increased in all three clones investigated when sucrose was replaced by glucose or fructose as the carbon source. |
