| Abstract: | The chemical composition and characteristics of the Iipids from the seeds of P. edulis were determined. The seeds were found to contain 29.4% of lipid material on a dry weight basis, which is higher than the field reported from seeds of Kenyan and Californian origin. The oil which consists of about 70% of Iinoleic acid falls within the group of "drying oils" and could be used either as an edible oil or for technical purposes. |
