Abstract: /11 vitro morphogenesis of different Spunta (potato cultivar) explants resulted in significant variation among the different media composition. The shoot tip segment induced the shortest shoot length in comparison with the first, the second and third nodal segments on Murashige and Skoog (MS) medium supplemented with a combination of 0.3 mg/L gibberellic acid (GA3) and 1.0 mg/L or 3.0 mg/L benzyl adenine (BA). At the same combination, the shoot tip induced the highest shoot number, this was associated with proliferation. On MS medium supplemented with 0.3 mg/L GA3, the second nodal segment provoked the highest shoot length, aerial shoot number and nodal number. Values from the second nodal segment on the previous medium combination were the highest among the other explants on ali the tested media. The longest induced internodal distance of ali the explants was on MS supplement with 0.3 mglL GAJ , while the addition of BA to this combination resulted in reduction of the i nternodal distance.
