Abstract: | Rhizoctonia solani is reported for the first time infecting yam (Dioscorea cayennensis) plants in Brazil. Morphological and cultural characteristics of the pathogen are described and the pathogenicity in stems established. Reports on R. solani on this Dioscoreaceae were not found in the literature. |
